Wednesday 1st May @4pm Saint Michael's Church, Enniskillen Clogher Don Óige will be hosting a special Prayer Service for all young people preparing for exams. It will be a wonderful chance to take a step back away from the stress and worries of exams. There will be time to reflect and de-stress, contemporary Christian music, uplifting words from the Bible and some creative prayer spaces. What is the prayer service all about?
Preparing for exams can be an incredibly stressful time for young people. It is our hope that as a Church community we can provide a space for young people to bring their worries and concerns to Jesus, and to know that we care for them. Who is it for? For all young people who are preparing for any exams, or indeed any young people who feel stressed and overburdened. Teachers and parents are welcome to attend to express their prayerful support. What is the theme? We will be focusing on the Scripture passage from Matthew 14:22-33, where Jesus walks on water and calls Peter out of the boat. We will use this Scripture to encourage young people to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus throughout their preparations. What will be included? The prayer service will include a variety of prayer elements particularly suited for young people. A key part of the service will be prayer stations located at different points around the Church. At each station young people will focus on different aspects of their life of faith and creatively reflect on that theme. The service will also include contemporary Christian music. We hope to welcome Clergy so that young people have the opportunity for Confession, or even just a chat.
