WHO IS THE AWARD FOR?

The Pope John Paul II Award is for young people over the age of 16 (post Junior Cert & post GCSE).
It is non-competitive, inclusive, flexible and voluntary.


Take an active part in the life of your Church

The Award enables participants to take an active part in the life of their Church - in the life of their community and society. It also enables young people become more aware of the teaching and role of the Catholic Church in the world and to engage at a deep level with Christ.

Participate in school, parish and community activities

The Award is committed to helping young people enhance their spiritual, physical, emotional and social development through participation in school, parish and community activities.


GET INVOLVED!
The Pope John Paul II Award has been running in the Diocese of Clogher for over 10 years, and over 2000 young people have achieved the Award!

What to do next...
1) Fill in Application Form online and pay registration fee of £20/€20

2) Parent/Guardian will be contacted by email for Consent (Under 18s only)
*Clogher don Óige will contact your local Award Leader, who will let you know about  upcoming meetings.
​3) Introduce yourself to your Parish Priest and tell them about your involvement in the JPII Award
4) Download your Record Card (see below)
​5) Start getting involved in your Parish & wider Community!!

*Remember to get your activites sign off by the adult/leader/priest at the time.
*We suggest that you take a regular photograph of your Record Card on your phone as you fill it in - so then if it gets lost, you can print out the most recent photo and keep filling in your activities!
